So I was reading up on the new Samsung Galaxy S3 and came across a feature called AllShare Cast..
The AllShare app that manages DLNA functionality has been available on
Samsung's handsets for a while now, but on the Galaxy S III it gets
taken to a whole new level.
Samsung is using Wi-Fi Direct connectivity in AllShare for a complete set of categories like AllShare Cast for video streaming (mirroring)
So basically if you have a samsung smart TV or the AllShare Dongle then you can mirror your screen straight onto your BIG OLD LED TV!! Unlike apple this isnt app restricted as you are literally mirroring your screen.
AllShare Dongle = An HDMI box that connects to your WiFi.
The first thing I thought of when I heard this news was SAMSUNG GALAXY S3 + BIG TV = EMULATED SNES/MEGADRIVE/N64/GAMEBOY/GAMEGEAR/MASTER SYSTEM (and any other emulation you can run on an android phone) ON MY TV!!!!
I dont know whether AllShare Cast will be avaiable for S2 but this and a few other features including 1.4ghz Quad core processor, 4.8 inch screen and 1GB ram may tempt me to upgrade...
