Retro Video Gaming - Football / Soccer

This blog post will take a very quick look at some of the retro football games we've decided to play recently. Some classic, others... not so much!

First up we start with Sega Worldwide Soccer 97 on the Sega Saturn - one of the more playable of a tonne of football games for the Sega Saturn.

Next up, a pure game play video without commentary but it has a cracker of a goal in it. It is also one of the all time greatest football games EVER.

Sensible Soccer - Sega Mega Drive / Genesis

We move on to feature the second in a long, long line of annually released fully licenced football games with FIFA 95 - Here Jamie & Mark take the Mega Drive controllers for this football game for the first time in nearly 17 years!

Stepping a little further back in time with our next game play only offering with the Sega Master System.

A crazy football game next courtesy of the NES - It's Konami's epic Hyper Soccer!!

One of our favourite football games in terms of playability, its Sega Worldwide Soccer 2000. Here Jamie and his beloved Arsenal take on Mark and his cherished Tottenham Hotspurs - there can only be one winner!

A switch to the arcade platform now, with Football Champ - a feisty, violent type football situation!

Finally to round off this bag of footy goodness is Virtua Striker 2 Version 2000.1 for the Dreamcast - again Jamie & Mark taking on each other in some football madness.
