Strider - Gaming Gold

Twitter revival - 100 followers and more

So yesterday we decided to try and ramp up the followers on twitter with unexpected great effect. Before we started we had 66 followers and now today we have 160.
Thank you to everyone giving us a hand with retweets and follows.

For our 100th follower we decided we should give them a prize! The prize was very simply to pick any retro game for our next video.

@RetroGamesNow was the winner and posted the following tweets:

Naturally we were more than happy to give one of them a go and picked the classic Strider on the Sega Megadrive. I didn't really consider how long it had been since i played this and ended up cracking on anyway.

Sega produced their home version of Strider for the Mega Drive/Genesis, which was released in Japan on September 29, 1990, with subsequent releases in North America and the PAL region. It was advertised as one of the first 8-Megabit cartridges for the system. This version was also re-released for the Wii Virtual Console in Japan on November 15, 2011 and later in North America on February 16, 2012.

As promised @RetroGamesNow is all over the video and now in this blog post. Thanks for your help.
