Today we thought we'd cast a light (One of those 'power of a million candles' kinda light) on a YouTube feature we have been running recently.
If you are unaware, over the last couple of weeks the two of us here at The Games Shed have been taking each other on in a series of retro games to see who is the better gamer.
To date we have taken on three games, all of which were thoroughly fun to play and thoroughly fun to comment on.
In this feature we only use actual gaming hardware, not emulation - so when you hear one of us getting a little furious, no doubt it'll be accompanied by the warming sound of angry button bashing :)
First up we took on the great Mario Kart 64 on the Nintendo 64.
This video is a little longer than it should have been due to a tiebreaker situation occuring! Check it out!
Next up we took on the mighty Street Fighter II Turbo on the SNES.
There is a quite clear winner in this video, leaving the other licking his wounds and contemplating his retro gaming life and wether or not he should pack it all in!
Part three: Mario Power Tennis on the Nintendo Gamecube.
So, with the scores in at one a piece, this slice of gorgeous gaming pie was our first main decider in the series.
So, at the end of three very fun games, all on Nintendo systems it seems as though Mark is better than Jamie at retro gaming. We will not however leave it at just three games - this battle will cary on for some time. So if you have any suggestions as to games you would like to see Mark & Jamie beat ten shades of poop out of each other on drop us a line!
